THE EISA PROCESS FOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROVIDERS AND EMPLOYERS

Ensure that your learners are correctly registered with the QCTO against the Occupational Qualification. The QCTO process is not the same as the legacy process through the SETA’s. The QCTO learner enrolment template (link provided above) must be completed and submitted within 21 days after the start date of training to: Learnerenrolments@qcto.org.za

During the period of training, the learner is required to complete all three components of the qualification namely, Knowledge, Practical, and Workplace Experience. The Skills Development Provider (SDP) is required to complete all assessments during the training phase.

Once the learner has met all three components’ requirements, the Skills Development Provider (SDP) issues a Statement of Results (SoR) confirming the learner’s readiness for the EISA.

Confirm which EISA date learners will attend on the QCTO EISA schedule (link provided above). Select the relevant EISA Hub assessment centre. EISA Hub will provide the SDP with the relevant QCTO assessment centre and qualification accreditation number for the template. Update the QCTO learner enrolment and readiness for EISA template with these details and submit to the QCTO: EISAreadiness@qcto.org.za

EISA dates cut off 3 months prior the scheduled EISA date. If uncertain about EISA dates, please contact us to assist you. For your convenience, EISA Hub will also publish EISA dates on our website once confirmed.

QCTO Notice to all QCTO Skills Development Providers on Learner Enrolment and EISA

Additional registration forms may be required to be submitted by certain AQPs (SETAs). EISA Hub can assist in providing any additional registration forms that may be required along with the correct process for submission to the AQP.

Learners will receive confirmation of their EISA dates and all other relevant information pertaining to their EISA.

Once the EISA is completed, the AQP and QCTO will conduct Quality Assurance on the EISA’s.

The QCTO grants the official occupational certificate to learners who have demonstrably achieved the required competence by passing the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA).
